Henry Hudson

Henry Hudson, 77, passed away on May 11, 2007. Mr. Hudson was born on November 14, 1929 in Ocilla, Georgia. He attended Friendship Baptist Church. His wife, Melissa Clements Hudson, and parents, William Newt Hudson and Bessie Willingham Hudson, preceded him in death.

Mr. Hudson lived most of his life in Ocilla, moving to Warner Robins in 2001; he was a motor grader operator and worked in road construction for Ross of Georgia from which he retired after thirty years. Mr. Hudson loved to garden. He planted and grew irises and day lilies which he took pleasure in delivering himself to friends and family.

Survivors include his son, Danny Hudson (Kendra) Warner Robins; grandchildren, Melissa Hudson Maxwell, Garrison Hudson and Marley Hudson; four great-grandchildren; sister, Martha McCook, Ocilla; special nieces Nelda Herod Vigneri, Pat Herod Lupo and Annelle Hudson Paulk, Ocilla, and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be Sunday, May 13, 2007 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home and Monday, May 14, 2007, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 15, 2007, at Paulk Funeral Home with interment to follow in Ocilla Cemetery.
