Herman Nixon, 62, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 7, 2015.
Herman was born on December 9, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. A 1972 graduate of Northside High School, he enjoyed music and playing the drums. Herman shared his love of music by playing in the following bands during his career: Round House, Doc Holliday, Marshall Tucker, The Wall, Nantucket, ZZ Top, To the Max, Still Water and several other local bands. His parents, Bill Nixon and Florence Collins, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his brothers, Carrington Ethridge and Russell Scott Nixon, both of Warner Robins; nephew, Carrington Ethridge, Jr; niece, Jamie Nixon and "best buds", Tony Cooper and Bruce Brookshire.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
