Herman Sherrell, 90, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2006. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2006, at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mr. Sherrell was born on February 20, 1915 in Forsyth, Georgia. Mr. Sherrell was also known as “The Peanut Man” in Warner Robins as he was famous for his boiled peanuts. He was of the Church of God faith and a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II in the rifle infantry. His wife Cleo Sherrell and parents, Joe and Emma Sherrell, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughters, Sylvia Dempsey (Wayne), Fitzgerald; Shirley Smith (Buddy), Bonaire; son, Herman Sherrell, Jr., Warner Robins; brother, Roy Sherrell, Macon; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren.
