Homer Reeves

Homer Reeves, born in Montgomery County, GA on November 9, 1940 to the late William Allen and Vernalee Powell Reeves, quietly passed away at home in Bonaire on the morning of Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the age of 82. He was the devoted husband of nearly 54 years to the late Mildred Edge Reeves, the father of Homer Mitchell “Mickey” Reeves and Don Aaron Reeves (Helen), grandfather of Mandolyn Sue Underwood, Clayton Mitchell Reeves and Aubree Nichole Reeves, and great-grandfather of Hunter Brooks Hilburn and Brilyn Scott Underwood. In addition to his wife and parents, Homer was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Mary Gwendolyn Reeves.

A dedicated family man who loved life, Homer took his responsibilities seriously, and did his best to be a good husband, father and provider to his family. He was just as committed to his work life and retired from a successful career as a civil servant in quality control at Robins Air Force Base. Homer never missed a day of school or work in his life. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, woodworking, and spending time with the family he dearly loved. Homer will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation with Homer’s family and friends will be on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest next to Mildred with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
