Hubie Poole, 66, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his residence.
Born on April 7, 1951 in Perry, Georgia, Hubie was a lifelong resident of Warner Robins and attended Northside High School. He worked as a carpenter and cabinet builder in the middle Georgia area for many years. Hubie had a deep love for music and loved playing the rhythm guitar and sang for several different country music bands around the area. He most recently played for the VFW Post 658 in Macon. Hubie enjoyed playing softball with his brothers and playing music with his family at family reunions. The Salvation Army Church on Thomas Boulevard was his church home.
Hubie was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Poole and Beulah Kiser Pope Martin; and sisters, Linda Faye Gillman and Ann Arth Reitz.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Anita Campbell Poole and children, Alicia Hammel (Bobby), Calvin Poole, Mark Poole, Michael Poole (Cori), and Jennifer Haiduk, all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Nicole McMahan, Parker and Charlize Poole, and Allison and Kirsten Phrasher; brothers, Charles Poole (Karen) of Warner Robins, Johnny Poole (Rebekah) of Concord, North Carolina, Thomas Poole (Deborah) of Macon, and Pamelia Kiser Bishop (Terry) of Fitzgerald; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Hubie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Hubie’s family. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Hubie Poole Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line. Donations may also be given to his Go Fund Me account.
