Hwa O Yi

Hwa O Yi, age 102, passed into the hands of Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was born in Kunsan City, Korea on August 15, 1919 and devoted her life to loving and raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children, Chun Craig, Song Sun Kang and Song Yong Kang; grandchildren, Yvonne Craig, Mary Craig, Hye Sun Kim, Jae Gu Kang, Sang Jin Kang, Hyun A No and Eun A No; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Fred Nijem officiating.

Our Halmoni lived her life serving her family as a homemaker. Her greatest cause and devotion has always been her family. In lieu of flowers, we will be accepting monetary donations for our grandmother. We know she would have wanted to leave/give something for her family in Korea instead of a charity.
