Ila Burdette Durden

Ila Burdette Durden, 79, died Monday, March 11, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 13, at Second Baptist Church, Warner Robins, with interment following at Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Rev. Rastus Salter will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Tuesday evening at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 701 Sandy Run Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Born in Toombs County, GA, Mrs. Durden was a homemaker. An active member of Second Baptist Church, she was a member of the WMU Women’s Missionary Union, the XYZ Senior Adults, and the Harmony Bible Class. Throughout the years, she taught many Sunday School classes for youth and adults. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burdette; and brother, James Burdette.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, M.J. Durden, Warner Robins; son, Jack Durden (Deloris), Macon; two brothers, Sam Burdette and George Burdette, Savannah, GA; two granddaughters, Sherry Smith, Macon; and Tracey Durden, Atlanta; grandson, Jeffrey Durden, Chester, CT; great-granddaughter, Amber Bedgood, Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
