Ila Keith Kirby, faithful Christian and long-standing Republican, was called home to the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the age of 92. Born in Cowan, TN on February 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alton Parker and Virginia Keith Yearwood.
Ila was a career homemaker who dedicated her life to serving her husband and raising their children to know and love Jesus Christ. She was steadfast in her faith of the Lord and was a longtime member of Perry Presbyterian Church. Ila also enjoyed reading, cooking, hosting events and visiting with her family, especially her sister, Ginger. She will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Kirby.
She is survived by her loving children, Cherie Lucas of Athens, James Parker Coffey (Deborah) of Acworth and Mildred Bobbitt of Marietta; grandchildren, Ashton Camp, Keith Lucas, Ila Britt Barnett and Jackie Bobbitt Smith; great-grandchildren, Kai and Noah Lucas, and Abigail and Catherine Smith; and sister, Ginger Shore (Carey) of Savannah.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery, where Ila will be laid to rest.
