Imogene "Jean" Sapp Herrington, 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 18, 2012.
Mrs. Herrington was born on May 11, 1926 in Dudley, Georgia. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Jean was a homemaker for most of her life. In earlier years, she worked at White Diamond Grill, Tasty Freeze, Triangle Grill, and Hal Fly. She also owned and operated Country Pig BBQ House. Her husband, John "Johnnie" Van Herrington, Sr.; children, Thomas Morgan and Sandra Jackson; and her parents, Thomas and Lona Collins Sapp, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Van Herrington (Sarah), Warner Robins; Joyce Hart, Florida; Margaret Potter (Jim), Mississippi; Gennie Marrett, Alabama; Judy Persuhn, Warner Robins; Johnny Morgan (Cyndee), Warner Robins; Janice Sheffield (Harry), Florida; Lenora Storey (Mike), Michigan; Albert Morgan (Joyce), Warner Robins; sister, Jeanette Bryan (Durwood), Milledgeville; thirty grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
A Scripture Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21 with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 250 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.
