Mrs. Inez Walden Whitfield, 83, of Bonaire, Georgia died Wednesday, January 09, 2008. The family will meet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S. Houston Road, Warner Robins. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:30 in the Kite City Cemetery in Kite, Georgia. The Rev. Jim Duval will officiate.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to NAMI, 209 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093 in honor of Mrs. Whitfield's grandson; Jude Spivey.
Mrs. Whitfield was born in Florida being raised and educated in Frostproof, Florida. She was daughter of the late Ed Walden and Mamie Fortner Walden and the widow of the Ray W. Whitfield. Mrs. Whitfield had lived in Warner Robins and Bonaire most of her life and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. She was a member of Northview United Methodist Church in Warner Robins and the United Methodist Women at Northview. Mrs. Whitfield was the mother of the late Sandra W. Spivey.
Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her daughter and son in law; LaVonne and Larry Harn of Bonaire, 3 grandchildren; Jude Spivey of Bonaire, Josh Harn of Warner Robins, Janna H. Barker of Byron, 6 great grandchildren; a brother; Thomas (Dot) Walden of Kite, Georgia and several nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, has charge of local arrangements.
