Irene Chambliss Anson

Irene Chambliss Anson, 89, entered into rest on Thursday, November 20, 2008.

Mrs. Anson was born on December 11, 1918, in South Carolina. She moved to Warner Robins in 1953 from Columbus. She was a secretary at Warner Robins High School and did secretarial work at many other businesses in Warner Robins, and was of the Methodist Faith. As a loving mother and grandmother, her family was the most important thing in her life. Her husband, Jacque Merritt Chambliss; and parents, Jesse Olin Lewis and Juanita Pou Lewis, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Andrew Anson, Jr., Warner Robins; daughters, Ann Chambliss Greer, Kathleen, and Jacqueline Chambliss Williams, Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Randy Williams, Jennifer Kaylor, Kevin Greer, Karol Greer Lee, Kelly Greer Hollifield; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2008, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Chaplain Todd Shearin officiating. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins GA 31088.
