Irma Caroline Patton

Irma Caroline Patton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence in Perry on the morning of Friday, September 6, 2024. She was 90 years old.

Born on August 11, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, Irma spent her life dedicated to the service of others and the joys of creative expression. She was a cherished volunteer at Perry Hospital and lent her time and talents to various causes in the community. With a passion for quilting and crafting, Irma was a beloved member of the Crossroads Quilt Guild. Her hobbies brought her great joy and allowed her to connect with others.

Irma was also committed to her family. Her love was evident for her children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren alike.

Above all, Irma was devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Perry, where she made many lifelong friends through her church community.

In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Patton; and her son, David Patton; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Frank Kurcz.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Richard Patton (Debbie), John Patton, Debra King (Mitchell), Mary Henry (Lonnie), Howard Patton, Elizabeth Phillips (Leonard), and Roger Patton; as well as several beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-children, extended family members, and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Perry. There will be a luncheon following the service at the church.
