Isaac B. Murray

Isaac B. Murray, 85, entered into rest on Thursday, February 28, 2013.

Mr. Murray was born on October 24, 1927 in Wilcox County, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Of the Baptist faith, Mr. Murray lived in Middle Georgia since 1954 and was a Greeter at Wal-Mart for two years. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, an animal lover, and enjoyed making knives. His wife, Josie Mae Murray; daughter, Marjorie; an infant son; and parents, William Wallace Murray and Mamie Parker Murray, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Alma Shannon (Paul), Macon; Jo Shannon, Byron; and Wallace Murray (Joe), Villa Rica; and grandchildren, Paul T. Shannon, Jr., Amanda Hill, and Kelly Elaine Murray.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
