Jack Deason, Jr., 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Jack was born on June 29, 1933 in McIntyre, Georgia to the late Adam and Ruth Whitehead Deason. He proudly served in the 121st Infantry, 162nd Tank Brigade, 48th Division and 48th Brigade of the Georgia National Guard before retiring after 33 years of service. Jack also worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base for 40 years before retiring. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins and the Al Sihah Shriners.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first loving wife of 55 years, Helen L. Deason; daughter, Cheryl Ann Nicholson; brother, Cecil Deason, and two infant sisters.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Gisela Boehle Deason of Bonaire; children, Scott Deason (Tammy), Steve Deason, Jackie Deason; stepsons, Bruce Thompson (Michelle), Tony Thompson; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and sister, Catherine Walls.
Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Jack will be laid to rest in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens with military honors and Masonic Rites.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Jack “Buddy” Deason, Jr.
