Jack D. Lifsey, beloved husband of Jo Lifsey, entered into rest on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at the age of 73.
Mr. Lifsey was born on July 5, 1935, in Meansville, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He later worked in civil service as an Inventory Management Specialist and retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Moose Club and the American Legion. His favorite passion was gardening and he enjoyed traveling with friends. His parents, Fred Lifsey and Mildred Self Lifsey, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Jo Reagan Lifsey; son, Michael Daniel Lifsey; step-sons, Kenneth Ray (Charlotte), Conyers, and Dean Bloom (Lisa), Buford; brothers, Spencer Lifsey (June), Griffin and Roy Lifsey (Jean), Douglas; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 4, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Christ United Methodist Church, Reverend Jim McElrath officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
