SMSgt Jack Earl Holley (U.S. ARNG Ret)
Warner Robins – Jack Earl Holley, 78, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 15, 2010.
Mr. Holley was born on October 7, 1931 in Lee County, Alabama. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. His parents, Roy Sylvester Holley and Annie Eliza Holley; brothers, Raymond B. Holley and Tommy Holley all preceded him in death.
With pride and honor he served his country in the U.S. Air National Guard retiring with the rank of SMSgt. Subsequently, he retired from Robins Air Force Base where he was employed as an Aviation Scheduler for forty years. A man of many accomplishments, he volunteered for the Georgia School of the Blind, was an avid reader and was formerly on the Board of Director's with the Centerville Library.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Etta Faye LaGrone Holley; children, Michael Roy Holley, Centerville; and Sylvia Carol LaValle (Gene), Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Vanessa LaValle and Gene LaValle; brothers, Donald, Drew and Jimmy Holley; sisters, Dorothy Harrington and Bobbie Bradshaw.
Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Reverend Mobley Cross will officiate. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
