James A. Sherrer

October 14, 1926 — April 26, 2005

James “Moody” Algie Sherrer, 78, passed away surrounded by his loving wife and daughters on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at his residence. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in West View Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Sherrer was born October 14, 1926 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Moses A. and Maggie Lou Sherrer. He proudly served in the United States Army in the Pacific during WWII. A charter member of Bonaire Church of Christ, Mr. Sherrer continued to be active and faithful to the church until his death. He was a resident of Warner Robins for 45 years and enjoyed travel, gardening, nature, history, and an avid reader. Prior to his retirement, he worked Civil Service as an Electrician at Robins Air Force Base. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Kathy Yvonne Sherrer and a sister, Laverne Sherrer preceded him in death.

Survivors include, loving, devoted, and faithful wife of 56 years, Faye Marie Eubanks Sherrer; three loving and caring daughters, Carol Trask (Arthur), LaGrange, GA; Donna Keith (J.V.), Jackson, GA; and Tanya Minton (Jeff), Germany; brothers, Conrad Sherrer, and Harold Sherrer, Hardwick, GA; sister, Doris Wood (Kenneth), Pensacola, FL; seven grandchildren, Melissa Trask Brown, Hermitage, TN; Dale Trask (Amanda), Marietta, GA; James Trask (Clarinda), Senoia, GA; Hannah Keith, Jackson, GA; Geoffrey Minton, Ashleigh Minton, and Zachary Minton, all of Germany; three loving sister-in-laws; Christine Underwood; Edna Lee Eubanks; and Runette Pounds (Roy) all of Milledgeville; three great-grandchildren, Cara Brown and Campbell Brown, Hermitage, TN; and Riley Trask, Marietta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; and brothers and sisters in Christ.
