James Allen Daffron, Senior, 82, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on December 12, 2020. Born March 1938 to the late James and Mildred Daffron in Millport, AL, he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Elaine Daffron, his son James Daffron Jr (Beth), daughter Sherri Daffron Patterson (Ed), grandchildren Clifford Patterson, Christopher Patterson, Caleb Daffron (Regan), Rebecca Fletcher (Aaron), Michala Scott (Hunter), and Lilli Benton, and his sisters Willene Glass (Charles), Kathy Harrison (Lynn), and Leslie Morris (Ed).
While he was a proud graduate of Auburn University with a 30-year tenure working at General Electric, his greatest legacy is his family and service to his community.
He served on the Board of Directors at Macon Academy when his children were young. After retirement he devoted his life to his grandchildren. He spent those years loving each grandchild like they were the favorite!
The 16 years he spent serving the Red Cross took him on more than 22 national disasters including Hurricane Katrina and the World Trade Center. But his greatest fulfillment came from the 20 years he spent serving his local community at the Food Bank at Christ Chapel Warner Robins formally known as Faith Assembly of God.
He truly lived out his faith, and his life was a practical example of his favorite scripture, Luke 6:31 “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Visitation for extended family and friends will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
