James C. Cloud, Jr., 70, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Charleston, North Carolina to the late James Cecil and Roselind E. Tootle Cloud, he spent much of his life in Lyons, Georgia before heading off to a career with Delta Air Lines in Florida and Dayton, Ohio. Known as Jamie to his family and Sandy to his friends and co-workers, Mr. Cloud had a passion for life and made a significant impact on all he came in contact with. He will be especially missed by his two dogs, Stubby and Zach, along with the hundreds of friends and acquaintances that counted him a friend.
Mr. Cloud leaves behind his partner of 21 years and husband of 4 years, Dale R. Parker; his sisters, Donna Brouthers, Teresa Maddox, and Gail Combs; his brother, David Stone; and several nieces and nephews. He always had a special place in his heart for his niece Megan Nash and nephew Michael Maddox.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Oz Campground in Unadilla, Georgia.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Cloud’s arrangements.
