James Edward Snelgrove

James Edward Snelgrove, 68, entered into rest on Friday, November 4, 2011.

Mr. Snelgrove, born on January 21, 1943, in Fitzgerald, proudly served in the United States Navy before working at J & E Trucking as a trucker and proprietor. His son, Kenneth Snelgrove; and parents, James Edison Snelgrove and Avis Raburn Womack, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Elaine Taylor Snelgrove, Rockledge; children, Gena Davis (Jim), Warner Robins, Donna Dean, Byron, Eddie Snelgrove, Jr., Cedargrove, Georgia, Missy Timken (Mark), Orlando, Scott Snelgrove (Amanda), Rockledge, Joe Snelgrove, Oceanside, California; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Diehl, Dallas, Georgia; and brother, Joe Snelgrove, Elko, Georgia.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Chaplain Todd Shearin officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Laurens County Hospice, 205 North Franklin Street, Dublin GA 31021.
