Jim Humphries, 70, entered into Heaven on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Born in Adel, Georgia, Jim was the son of the late James F. Humphries Sr. and the late Claudia B. Humphries. Jim had a passion for working with computers which led him to his career as a Computer Engineer at Unisys. His work brought him to Warner Robins in 1999 and he later retired in 2008. Jim met his wife, Pennie Lane, in 2001, and from that moment they were always together; wherever you saw one, you always saw the other. Her precious “Jimmy James” was a very talented cook and did all of the cooking at home. Pennie affectionately referred to him as a good “house husband”. In addition to camping with his wife, Jim’s favorite pastimes included watching classic military and western movies, spending time with his grandbabies, and hunting for the best new audio technology with his brother. Most importantly, Jim adored his family, all of whom loved him just as much.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald S. Humphries.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 19 years, Pennie Lane Humphries; children, Jay (Jill) Humphries, Brittany (Shane) Humphries, Travis (Jennifer) Sturdivant, Marisa (Chris) Gay; grandchildren, Carson Sturdivant, Katelyn Sturdivant, Aubrey Marie Papke, Lucas Ballard, Zoey Humphries, and baby Humphries on the way; and brother, David Humphries.
