Warner Robins – James Franklin Chubner, 78, entered into rest on Monday, December 28, 2009.
Colonel Chubner was born on June 10, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force for thirty one years and participated in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. A life time member of the Air Force Association, he also, belonged to the order of Daedalians. Subsequent to his military career he went to work for Northrop Grumman as a Marketing Manager. His parents, Frank Chubner and Ruth Shea Chubner, preceded him in death. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-two years JoAnn Chubner, Warner Robins; daughter, Melissa Chubner, Warner Robins; sons, James K. (Sandra) Chubner, Xenia, Ohio; Robert Chubner, Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Justin and Julia Chubner, one great-grandchild, Kaylee Michelle Chubner; brother, Franklin "Skip" Chubner, North Port, Florida, and his precious "best buddy", Charlie, his little Yorkie.
Memorial gathering will be Friday, January 1, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association, 3312 Northside Drive, STE 140-A, Macon, Georgia 31210-0429.
