James Hugh Evans

James Hugh Evans, 72, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2005. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25 at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Evans was born July 23, 1932 in Escambia County, Alabama to the late Charles Spurgeon and Cupid Morgan Evans. Prior to retiring, he worked in Civil Service as a Maintenance Supervisor for Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Ft. Walden Masons, the VFW and the DAV. In addition to his parents, his wife, Betty Ann Evans preceded him in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Cupid A. Thornton, Centerville; Patricia Fortino, Beaver Creek, Ohio; and Jenny C. Evans, Bonaire; one sister, Betty Klekar, Orange, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
