James Jim Milliron

James "Jim" Milliron, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.

Jim was born on August 25, 1925 in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Navy immediately after graduation from Genessee High School in Genessee, Pennsylvania. In 1943, Jim became a heavy equipment operator in the Pacific with the Seabees until the end of World War II. He graduated from the State Teachers College at Cortland, New York. He then taught Health and Physical Education in Elkland, Pennsylvania until taking a job in recreation at the VA domiciliary in Bath, New York. In 1956 Jim went to work with the Air Force, first at Wheelus Air Force Base in Tripoli, Libya, then Wiesbaden Air Force Base in Germany and finally at Robins Air Force Base. He retired as Chief of MWR in 1980.

His wife, Maree Milliron, and parents, James F. and Annie Clark Milliron, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, James S. Milliron of Warner Robins, Randy Smith (Danny) of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Marty Teagle of Warner Robins; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the VFW Post 6605, 1011 Corder Road, Warner Robins, Ga 31088.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of James "Jim" Milliron to Charity of Donor's Choice.
