James “Jimmy” David Robinson, 72, entered into rest on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
Jimmy was born on October 11, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas. After earning a bachelor's degree, he dedicated his career to civil service as an accountant at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked for 20 years before retiring. Family was at the heart of Jimmy's life, and he cherished every moment spent creating memories with his loved ones. He was a passionate University of Georgia fan, always rooting for the Bulldogs with great enthusiasm. In his free time, Jimmy found joy in fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and relaxation. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Robinson, and children, Kimberly Robinson and David Robinson.
His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Joyce Fincher Robinson of Warner Robins, Georgia; children, Brian Robinson (Peggy) of Riverview, Florida, Stephanie C. Cox (John) of Rushville, Indiana, and Michele Robinson of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Anna, Damion, Kayli, Colton, Elita, and Rayne; siblings, Larry Robinson (Leslie) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Kenny Robinson (Lisa) of Butler, Georgia and Carol Chambers (Tommy) of Centerville, Georgia along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Turner's Chapel Cemetery. A graveside service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at Turner's Chapel Cemetery, where Jimmy will be laid to rest.
