Centerville, GA – James D. “Moe” Winberg passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 30 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Warner Robins, GA, with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Houston County Division, 134 Cherren Dale Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088.
Mr. Winberg was born in Detroit, Michigan and served in the United States Air Force. After retiring from General Motors he spent eight summers on Mackinac Island working with his family. He had been a resident of Centerville since 1993. His mother, Ingrid Winberg, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Winberg, Centerville; daughters, Julie Legg (Victor), Hartland, MI; Karen Lee (Scott), Centerville; Sally Dougherty (Jeff), Byron; Jennifer Lamb (Billy), Centerville; and grandchildren, Katie Legg, Jennifer Caruana, John Legg, James Caruana, Jason Lee, Alexis Porter, Heather Marie Dougherty, and Dylan James Lamb.
