James O. Norvelle, Sr., 56, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2006. Mr. Norvelle was born on November 17, 1950 in Asheville, North Carolina. MSgt. Norvelle retired from the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam Era and The Gulf War. Upon retirement, he worked at Pine Oaks Golf Club at Robins Air Force Base. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Men’s Golf Association. His parents, Calvin C. and Sylvia Hendershot Norvelle, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ralphlena Willis Norvelle, Warner Robins; children, James Orrin Norvelle, Jr., Warner Robins; Kimberly A. Allen (Anthony), NC; Nancy D. Norvelle (Mehdi), New Mexico; brother, Ronald O. Norvelle (Lee), FL; three grandchildren and one on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, in Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The American Heart Association 3312 Northside Drive Ste. 140 Macon, Georgia 31210-0429.
