James Perry Cleghorn, 85, walked into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the evening of Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
Born on January 29, 1929 in Rebecca, Georgia, James was a resident of Warner Robins since 1954. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corps and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. James was a devoted member of First Baptist Centerville, loved fishing and most enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Livingston and Pearl Mae Nasworthy Cleghorn.
James' memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 63 years, Joyce Thomas Cleghorn of Warner Robins; children, James Kenneth Cleghorn of Warner Robins, Michael Dean Cleghorn of Byron and Wanda Kaye Segraves of Fort Valley; three grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; sister , Thelma Huggins of Fitzgerald; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Centerville Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Cleghorn will officiate.
