James Robert Ledford, Jr.

James Robert Ledford, Jr., 59, entered into rest on Friday, June 3, 2011.

Robert was born on March 26, 1952 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was a member of Beaver Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Kathleen, Georgia. Robert retired from Happy Hour Service Center where he worked for many years as a Supervisor. A 1970 graduate of Warner Robins High School, he was an avid fisherman and loved to share his knowledge of the sport with everyone, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. His parents, James Robert Ledford, Sr. and Wynell Barker Ledford, both preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Bobbi Sue Wooten (Robert); step daughter, Michelle Pace, all of Warner Robins; brother, David Ledford, Hockessin, Delaware; sisters, Amelia Pund, Bonaire; Bonnie Timney, Gainesville, Virginia; Rebecca Ledford, Macon; grandchildren, April, Jacob and Maddi Wooten; Nicholas and Wesley Moore; and so many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Franklin Bryant officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Beaver Creek Primitive Baptist Church, In care of Calvin Middlebrooks, 108 Clifton Road, Perry, Georgia 31069.
