James Scott Floyd

October 8, 1968 — December 31, 2020

James Scott Floyd, 52, passed away on December 31, 2020.

Scott was born on October 8, 1968, in Macon, Georgia. He earned an Associate’s degree from Central Georgia Technical College and was employed by GEC/Terracon as an engineering technician. He was proud of his work and enjoyed telling others about it. A talented musician, Scott played drums for several bands around the middle Georgia region. In his spare time, he loved to camp and fish. But, the thing that brought him the most joy in life was being around his family and friends. His wife was the love of his life. His children were the light of his life. He was always cooking and grilling out for his friends. Scott loved people and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Floyd.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife, Julie Floyd; his children, Dylan Floyd and Haley Floyd; his mother, Helen Floyd; his sisters, Deborah Owens (Rusty) and Kimberly Cranford (Ace); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

At the family’s request, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Scott to the Floyd Family College Fund, C/O The Macon Baking Co., 4524 Forsyth Road, Suite 204, Macon, GA 31210 for his daughter, Haley.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
