James Simpson Williams, 85, entered into rest on August 21, 2011.
James was born on October 21, 1925 in Florence, Alabama. At seventeen years old, he enlisted in the United States Navy after the Pearl Harbor Invasion. He retired from Civil Service as an Industrial Engineer Technician at Robins Air force Base. His loving companion of several years, Willie Mae Davis; mother, Mary Gladys Aldridge; and sister, Mary Tanner, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring children, Lynn Thompson, Port Orange, Florida, and Chris Williams, Macon; and two grandchildren, Kevin Williams and Stacy Thompson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011 Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Chaplain Todd Shearin will officiate.
