James William Lane, 83, entered into rest on Friday, January 27, 2012.
Mr. Lane, born April 22, 1928, in Faison, North Carolina, lived in Warner Robins the past thirty-five years. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army, participating during the end of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He later retired from Anchor Glass where he worked as a Mold Maker. He was very active in his church home, Northside Baptist Church. His brother, Billy Lane; and parents, Lemuel S. Lane and Katie Hare Lane, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Elizabeth "Betty" Schadler Lane, Warner Robins; sons, Robert Lane, Warner Robins, James W. Lane, Jr., (Karen), and Kenneth E. Lane, both of New Port Richey, Florida; sisters, Letha Godfrey, Margaret Jean Halis, Gracie Bass, Virginia Conley, and Lou Ann Bell; brothers, Roy Daw, Kenneth Daw, and J.T. Daw; and three grandchildren, Kendra, Kerri and James.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Ken Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
