Janelle Mccranie Cravey Piper

Mrs. Janelle McCranie Cravey Piper died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, December 7, 2011. Nelle was born August 10, 1928 in Dodge County GA to Horton Edwin and Gertrude (Brown) McCranie. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rick and Elizabeth (Betty) Cravey Hughes, along with her devoted friends; Catherine Bowers, Mike Goolsby and Eddie Bowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lt. Col. John A. Piper (USAF, Ret.)

Nelle moved from Milan, GA and has resided in Warner Robins, GA since 1955. She worked for the City of Warner Robins for many years and retired from Robins AFB in 1987 as a Procurement Specialist.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011 at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at McCullough Funeral Home chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, with The Reverend Bill Bagwell, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
