Janet Salter Condon

Janet S. Condon, 52, passed away at her residence on December 1, 2007.

Mrs. Condon was born on October 17, 1955 in Thomaston, Georgia. She was employed by the Houston County Board of Education as a teacher at Quail Run Elementary school. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she taught the children’s choir and the Walker III Sunday class for thirty years and was a member of the choir. Her husband, Robert “Bob” Condon, father, Isaac Franklin “Rastus” Salter, and brother, Greg Salter, predeceased her.

She will be missed by her daughter, Rachel Condon, Warner Robins; mother, Lena Salter, Warner Robins; brothers, Glen Salter (Dryden) Atlanta; Gary Salter (Linda), Alpharetta; Gil Salter (Connie), Cartersville; sisters, Jean Fuller (Robert), Charlotte, North Carolina; Joy Brantley (Tim), Warner Robins; father-in-law, RC Condon (Evelyn), Knoxville, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Carol Sewell (Bill), Knoxville, Tennessee, and Becky Russell (Rick), Brandon, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Ray Condon (Sandy), Indianola, Iowa; fourteen nieces and nephews and two great-nieces.

Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2007, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, Dr. Jeff LaBorg officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
