Williamston, SC – Janice Burch Coatney, 68, entered into rest on Monday, March 10, 2014.

Janice was born on April 1, 1945 in Ocilla, Georgia and was a 1963 graduate of Warner Robins High School. She attended Crandall Business College and retired from Greif Packaging. Janice was a long-time member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church in Macon and attended Newspring Church in Anderson, South Carolina.

A woman of faith and the heart of the Coatney family, Janice shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example. She cherished her family more than anything and loved to cook for and spend time with them. She was also the most doting and fun grandmother and great-grandmother. Janice enjoyed getting pedicures with Gracie and developed a special bond with Colton as she took care of him.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey E. and Mildred Rawlins Burch.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Leigh Fricks and fiancé, Daniel Ellison of Williamston, South Carolina, Eddie Coatney (Jana) of Lizella, Georgia and Rae Howell of Centerville, Georgia; grandchildren, Tyler and Tori Perry, Zachary Coatney, Kylie and Ben Fricks, Gracie Coatney, and Savannah and Lyric Howell; great-grandchildren, Colton Winkler and Andrew Perry; sister, Brenda Sharpless of Centerville; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
