Janice Heath Grundy, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2015.
Janice was born in Montezuma, Georgia on July 4, 1936. She moved to Warner Robins with her family at the age of seven where she lived most of her life. After graduation from Georgia State College for Women, she taught for many years at Warner Robins Junior High School and at Houston County High School. Mrs. Grundy was a devoted and active member of Central Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by lifelong friends and family. Janice was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Richard Grundy, and parents, James F. Heath and Janie B. Heath.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Dr. Terri Ten Hoor of Atlanta; stepdaughter, Jennifer Hollett (Jordan) of North Augusta, South Carolina; stepson, Jeffrey Grundy of Baltimore, Maryland; grandson, Justin Grundy; and brother, James "Butch" Heath (Mary Pat) of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home and after the funeral; Mrs. Grundy will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Janice Grundy to the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
