Janice Marie Potter

Janice Marie Potter, 79, entered into rest on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Janice was born on April 26, 1944, in Macon, Georgia to the late Lester and Annie Myrtle Weaver. She was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church. Janice deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren; they were her life and she loved taking care of them. She was an incredible mom who always supported her children. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and making dolls. Janice will be missed as the loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that she was.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Weaver and Don Weaver.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 60 years, Willard Neal Potter of Warner Robins, GA; children, Melinda Smee (Kevin) of Bowie, MD, Pamela Brantley of Warner Robins, GA, and Dwaine Potter of Eatonton, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Smee, III (Raquel) of Leominster, MA, Lauren Harris (Sam) of Perry, GA, Annie Smee of Winchester, VA, and Erin Brantley of Warner Robins, GA; great-grandchildren, Sean Smee and Sadie Harris; siblings, Barbara Cowan, Cherry Boulrice, and Franky Weaver; along with many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday August 6, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Janice will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

If preferred, in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Janice Potter to a charity of your choosing.
