Jason Kyle Enckler, 37, joined his Lord in Heaven on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
Born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, Jason proudly served his country in the Army National Guard as an infantryman with the 1st Battalion, 121st Infantry, Bravo Company during Operation Enduring Freedom. He toured Afghanistan between 2009 and 2010.
From the time he was little, he had a keen sense of giving and selflessness. Jason would give anyone the shirt off his back and would often give to homeless people on the street. After being injured while serving overseas, Jason became a faithful volunteer with the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation. Of the Baptist faith, Jason was a born-again Christian who loved the Lord.
Jason leaves his memory behind with his loving parents, Sheree Barton and Robert Dean Enckler; grandmother, Oppie Lee Jackson; aunts and uncles, Wayne Jackson (Diann), Harry Enckler (Judy), Melinda Gullett, Carol Cason, and Marsha Stewart (Bill); several cousins; and his beloved dog, "Ginger."
Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Jason will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Jason Enckler to the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
