Jean Annalee Longenecker, 86, entered into rest on Thursday, January 13, 2011.
Mrs. Longenecker was born on February 25, 1924 in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. An educator, Jean taught school at Shirley Hills Elementary School for many years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and crocheting and was a longtime member of TOPS. Her husband, Edward Alvin Longenecker, Jr., and her parents, Eugene and Estella Haag, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Linda Hall (Mike), Warner Robins; Kay Smith (Steve), Watkinsville; and Terry Karloff (Howard), Denton, Texas; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
