Jean H. McDonald, 89, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
Jean was born on May 18, 1934, in Worth County, GA. She moved to Bonaire and made that her lifetime home. She attended Bonaire Church for many years where she enjoyed fellowship with her friends. She recently attended Evening Light Mission Church. She worked as an Engineering Data Specialist at Robins Air Force Base until her retirement. Jean was the matriarch of her family and will be missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hurst and Martha Bozeman Hurst; husband, Colen R. McDonald and her first husband, Ned Davidson; sisters, Voncile Walker and Verna Goldsmith and her brother, Jimmy Hurst.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Nelda Davidson, Debbie Davidson, Sherry Scott and Chuck Davidson; grandchildren, Brooke Seymour (Matt), Kenneth M. Beasley, Jr. (Kelsay), Kelci Reed (Bill), Ryan Scott (Meghan), and Jesse Scott (Meghan); stepchildren, Kim McDonald and Rodney McDonald (Katiana); step-grandchildren, Justin McDonald, Xavi McDonald and Gwendolyn McDonald; Sister, Myrtle Greene; and sisters-in-law, Louise Davidson and Faye Hurst.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Bonaire Church. Immediately following, Jean will be laid to rest in Bonaire Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to Jean’s home place after the service for food and fellowship at 136 Old Hawkinsville Rd, Bonaire, GA 31005.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Jean H McDonald to Bonaire Church at 221 Church Street, Bonaire, GA 31005 or Evening Light Mission Church at 120 Walker Road, Byron, GA 31008.
