Jeffrey William Burcaw, 53, died Monday, April 11, 2011.
Mr. Burcaw was born on August 8, 1957 in Ashland, Ohio. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University and the University of Georgia. He became a Research Scientist for the United States Department of Agriculture and later worked as an independent consultant. A former contestant on Jeopardy, his various memberships included the Centerville Pipes and Drums, Mercer Pipe Band, Atlanta Pipe Band and Royal Canadian Pipe Band. He attended First Presbyterian Church. His brother, Gerald Burcaw; and father, William Austin Burcaw, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Marjorie Baker Burcaw; two close friends, Keith Barnett and Kenneth Dorough; as well as several cousins and aunts in Ohio.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Reverend Paula S. Hoffman officiating. A celebration to honor Jeffrey's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday April 14, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins. Everyone is welcome.
