Jerome Wallace Cowan, 87, of Warner Robins, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2006. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 22, at 3:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Warner Robins, Georgia.

Mr. Cowan was born on April 4, 1919 in Chicago, IL. He had distinguished careers in the military and civilian service. In the military, he was a WW II veteran with 25 years of service, retiring from the Air Force. In civilian life, he worked as an inventory manager at Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Cowan was an accomplished historian with his collection of swords displayed at the Macon Museum of Arts. His parents, Harold Cowan and Frances Getschow, preceded him in death.&n bsp;

Survivors include his loving wife, Maxine F. Cowan, Fayetteville; children, Wayne Cowan, Austin, TX; Brent Cowan, Dallas, TX; Jeri Lynn Burden, Fayetteville; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
