Jerry Buford Quarles

Jerry Buford "J.B." Quarles, 61, entered into rest on Monday, October 12, 2009.

Mr. Quarles was born on March 3, 1948, in Rome, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army, participating in the Vietnam conflict for two years. In 1973, he began working for Anchor Glass as a machine repairman for thirty-six years. An avid outdoorsman who loved animals, his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. His brother, Ronnie Quarles, and father, Roger S. Quarles, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty years, Regina "Gina" Quarles; daughter, Tonya (Chris) White, Kathleen; son, Jerry (Connie) Brewer, Byron; grandchildren, Lyndsey, Emily and Jeremy White, Matthew Brewer and Cam Sellers; mother, Louise Peak Quarles; brother, Melvin Quarles; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Highest Praise Church of God, 425 South Houston Road, Pastors Billy Stuckey and Chuck Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
