Jerry Douglas Clark, Sr., 72, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
Mr. Clark was born on September 22, 1945 in Kingsport, Tennessee, the son of the late Charlie Noah and Juanita Ward Clark. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as a scheduler. Mr. Clark was of the Baptist faith and an avid golfer who loved telling stories and fellowshipping with family and friends. He had a green thumb, as well, and was always generous in giving friends produce straight from his garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman, Mack, and Robert Clark.
Mr. Clark’s memory will forever be treasured by his loving sons, Jerry Douglas “Doug” Clark, Jr. (Becky Long) and Warren Shane Clark (Mignon); grandchildren, Saylor, Griffin, Adriel, Nathaniel, and Katlyn; siblings, Jim Clark (Ann), Harold Clark (Jennifer), and Clarence Clark (Kay); and devoted companion and friend, Sally Thomason.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Mr. Clark will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mr. Clark to Jay’s Hope Foundation, 1157-B Forsyth St., Macon, GA 31201 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
