Jerry L Hargett

Jerry L. Hargett, 76, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Jerry was born in Columbus, Georgia on February 22, 1938. He was a graduate of Jordan High School. He enjoyed a long career with Singer Sewing Machine Company and Eddy Wiggins Ford. Mr. Hargett was a long time member of Central Baptist Church where he was a choir member and the director of Joyner Bible Class. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, golf, and softball.

His sisters, Barbara Ann Watters and Miriam Frances Chaffin, and parents, Theodore Jenkins and Doris Hargett Jenkins, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 57 years, Miriam Angline Hargett of Warner Robins; son, Jay Hargett (Michelle)of Jasper; grandsons, Von and Michael; and sister, Shirley O'Pry (Danny) of Columbus.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 4, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
