Jerry Leverette, 64, passed into the hands of his Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Jerry was born and raised on the Leverette family farm in Warner Robins, a son of the late Joseph Crowder Leverette, Sr. and Effie Lee Wynn Leverette. Jerry graduated from Warner Robins High School and married the beautiful Faye Moon on May 22, 1976.
He was a farmer all his life and used his experience in agriculture as a maintenance supervisor for CH2M. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and also loved woodworking and restoring antique tractors. Jerry had many interests in his life, but his family always came first. He loved the Lord and Victory Baptist Church was his church home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Warnell Howard, J.C. Leverette, and Charlie Leverette.
Jerry's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 39 years, Faye Leverette of Vienna; children, Debra Bainter and Ricky Cox (Kim), both of Byron, Lisa Leverette of Hawkinsville, and Jerry Leverette, Jr. of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jimmy and Jason Jones, Jessica Cox-Carter, Melissa Cox, Noah and Addison Grimsley, and Brook and Hunter Leverette; and great-grandchildren, Hensley and Jameson Jones, Jason Jones, Jr., and Waylon Carter.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at First Baptist Church Centerville. Following the service, Mr. Leverette will be laid to rest in Centerville Cemetery.
Jerry's family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be given in memory of Mr. Leverette to Reflections Hospice, 202 4th Ave. East, Cordele, GA 31015.
