Jerry Green, 68, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015.
Jerry was born on April 24, 1947 in Clayton, Georgia. After graduating from high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years earning the rank of Sergeant. Following his time in the military, Jerry went to work as a firefighter before he began his career in Civil Service as an engineer at Robins Air Force Base. In his spare time he loved fishing, turkey hunting, and time spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as "Paw Paw".
His father, Joseph, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Helen Green of Jasper; children, David Green (Kimberly) of Warner Robins, Sarah Stephens (Chris) of Byron, Micah Green of Warner Robins, Elizabeth Buchanan (John) of Jasper, mother, Pauline Green Evans of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Michael, Nicklaus, Madison, Jake, Natalie, Flint, Cobie; brother, Charles Green of Texas; and two nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Jerry will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with military honors.
