Jessica Van Buren Wright

Jessica Van Buren Wright, 90, entered into eternal rest, on June 30, 2015.
Mrs. Wright was born in Macon, GA to the late Troy and Susie Williams Bartlett. She was married to the late Harold G. Wright for 40 years. Mrs. Wright taught private Kindergarten for 14 years (1955-1968) in Cochran, GA in which she recently spent her 90th birthday celebrating with former kindergarten student and family members. She published a cookbook in 1999 of her favorite recipes and later wrote a family history and memoirs. When she resided in Ellijay GA, she mentored a special needs adult and taught him to read and write when she was in her late 80s and she was also a past member of the Ellijay Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her son, Eddie (Debbie) Van Buren and daughter, Sherry (Wake) Conklin, five grandchildren: Minka (Mike) Fulton, Stephanie (Tim) Blackwell, Todd Van Buren, Jarad (Layla) Padgett, Landon (Tony Shiver) Padgett, and three great grandchildren: Cory Blackwell, Collin Blackwell and Lauren Fulton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2 PM at John Wesley Villas at Foxworth Hall with the Rev. Mike Ketchum and Rev. Alesia O'Reilly officiating. The family will greet friends following the memorial service.
