Jewel H. Causey passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at her home. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 23 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Causey was born in Bibb County but had lived in Houston County for sixteen years. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. Her parents, Sullivan Hightower and Hazel Stallings Hightower, and brother, Walter Hightower, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Jewel Dean Carter, Mauk, GA; Patricia Blalock, Macon; Billie Jo Owens, Centerville; son, William D. Ogle, Jr., Columbus; daughter, Brenda Rankin, Warner Robins; son, Michael Ogle, Byron; sisters, Carolyn Fordham, Francis Cauley, both of Warner Robins; DeeDee Nipper, Hilda Purvis, both of Macon; brothers, G.W. Hightower, James Hightower, Ronnie Hightower, all of Macon; Durwood Hightower, Cusseta; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; and her faithful companions, Gizmo and Popeye.
