Jim Cupp, 51, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Perry Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
Jim was born on November 11, 1954 in Decatur, Alabama, to the late Hollis and Mildred Cupp. He was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church and an avid outdoorsman. Jim had various interests, which included music, as a member of the Flint River Bluegrass Band, and writing, as the author of a short story published in Grays Sporting Journal. In addition, his love of horses led him to participate in various organizations and charity events. He worked in the forestry industry for 28 years, following his graduation from Auburn University.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Cupp, Warner Robins; daughter, Samantha Cupp Coleman (Scott), Birmingham, AL; son, Benjamin “Ben” Cupp, Warner Robins; sister, Sandy Stanley (Dr. Patrick), Decatur, AL; nieces, Shelley and Suzanne Stanley, Decatur, AL.
